    About Antigua and Barbuda

  • Antigua and Barbuda is made up of three islands; Antigua, Barbuda and Redona. Low-lying and volcanic in origin, they are part of the Leeward Islands group in the northeast Caribbean.
  • Antigua's coastline curves into a multitude of coves and harbors (they were once volcanic craters) and there are more than 365 beaches of fine white sand, fringed with palms. The island's highest point is Boggy Peak (420m/1,318ft) and its capital is St. John's.
  • Enjoy the island's impressive range of water sports: windsurfing, waterskiing, beachcombing, surfing, snorkeling and scuba diving.
  • Get a bird's eye view of Antigua's rainforest. Boldly stride or nervously creep along a high wire course made of ziplines, swings, suspension bridges and a controlled parachute jump (website: www.antiguarainforest.com)
  • Go for a bush safari in Barbuda. Stop for a picnic in the shade and watch for the wildlife amongst the sparkling salt ponds.

  • Travel options
