During this meeting delegates will have an opportunity to examine the life history of the cardic mycyte with sessions on the birth of the cardiac myocyte (during development, in adulthood or as engineered from non-myocyte cellular elements), the life of the cardiac myocyte (in normal physiology or during disease pathogenesis) and the death of the cardiac myocyte (apoptosis, autophagy, necrosis and molecular events linking these processes).
