IGBMC is devoted to the study of higher eukaryotic genomes and to the control of genetic expression as well as the analysis of the function of genes and proteins.
Situated on the banks of the river Rhine, the city of Strasbourg is known for its 'historical and cultural sights', as well as its, picturesque ambiance.
One of Europe’s most attractive cities thanks to the richness and sheer density of its heritage sites, the town centre has been listed as UNESCO World Heritage, and includes the highest medieval building in Europe in the form of the Strasbourg cathedral.
Founded by the Romans in 12 BC, Strasbourg has always occupied a strategic position in Europe. The sights of the European Parliament and the European Court of Human Rights are the best symbol of the international importance that Strasbourg holds.
