Target

  • FunctionProduces nitric oxide (NO) which is a messenger molecule with diverse functions throughout the body. In macrophages, NO mediates tumoricidal and bactericidal actions. Also has nitrosylase activity and mediates cysteine S-nitrosylation of cytoplasmic target proteins such COX2.
  • Tissue specificityExpressed in the liver, retina, bone cells and airway epithelial cells of the lung. Not expressed in the platelets.

Anti-iNOS antibody [NOS-IN] images

  • Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescence  analysis of IFN-γ/LPS-activated RAW-264.7 cells labeling iNOS  with ab49999 at 1/2000 dilution. Cells were fixed and permeabilized with 4% Paraformaldehyde and 0.5% Triton™ X-100. The antibody was developed using Goat Anti-Mouse IgG, Cy3-conjugate. Cells were counterstained with DAPI (blue) to stain nuclei.
