Target

  • FunctionThe alpha-V integrins are receptors for vitronectin, cytotactin, fibronectin, fibrinogen, laminin, matrix metalloproteinase-2, osteopontin, osteomodulin, prothrombin, thrombospondin and vWF. They recognize the sequence R-G-D in a wide array of ligands. In case of HIV-1 infection, the interaction with extracellular viral Tat protein seems to enhance angiogenesis in Kaposi's sarcoma lesions.

Anti-Integrin alpha V + beta 6 antibody [avß6 53a.2] images

  • Flow cytometry analysis of BT-20 breast carcinoma cells staining Integrin alpha V + beta 6 with ab97588.

    Cells were cultured in serum free DMEM medium before being trypsinized from the cell culture flask. The sample was incubated with the primary antibody (5 µg/ml in serum free medium) for 1 hour at 4°C. An AlexaFluor®488-conjugated donkey anti-rat IgG polyclonal (1/250) was used as the secondary antibody.
