The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesWB: 1/500. Detects a band of approximately 57 kDa representing the mature, non-glycosylated form of LIPG. Another band is seen at around 30 kDa, representing the proteolytic form of the protein.
Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionHas phospholipase and triglyceride lipase activities. Hydrolyzes high density lipoproteins (HDL) more efficiently than other lipoproteins. Binds heparin.
Tissue specificityHigh level of expression in the liver, placenta, lung, thyroid, kidney, testis and in the corpus luteum of the ovary. Expressed also in coronary artery endothelial cells, umbilical vein endothelial cells and in hepatocyte and osteosarcoma cell lines. Not detected in heart, brain and muscle.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the AB hydrolase superfamily. Lipase family. Contains 1 PLAT domain.
