  • Application notesIP: Use 4 - 8 µl immunoprecipitates MAFF from the A431 cell line.

    WB: 1/4000 - 1/8000. Predicted molecular weight: 17 kDa. Dilute the antibody in PBS containing 5.0% non-fat dry milk and 0.05 % Tween 20.
    Staining of the MAFF band in immunoblotting is specifically inhibited by the immunizing peptide.

    Not yet tested in other applications.
    Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
  • Target

    • FunctionSince they lack a putative transactivation domain, the small Mafs behave as transcriptional repressors when they dimerize among themselves. However, they seem to serve as transcriptional activators by dimerizing with other (usually larger) basic-zipper proteins and recruiting them to specific DNA-binding sites. Small Maf proteins heterodimerize with Fos and may act as competitive repressors of the NF-E2 transcription factor.

    Anti-MAFK antibody - ChIP Grade images

    • ChIP analysis using ab50322 binding MAFK in Human primary macrophage. Cells were cross-linked with formaldehyde. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/500) for 12 hours at 4°C. Protein binding was detected using real-time PCR.
