Applications

Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab22367 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
IHC-P Use at an assay dependent concentration.
IHC-R Use at an assay dependent concentration. Note for IHC: Acetone fixation recommended. The antigen is sensitive to fixation with paraformaldehyde.
AP Use at an assay dependent concentration.
ELISA Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Flow Cyt Use 10µl for 106 cells.

Use 10µl of suggested working dilution (neat - 1/10) for 106 cells in 100µl.

ab91356 - Mouse monoclonal IgG1, is suitable for use as an isotype control with this antibody.

IHC-Fr Use at an assay dependent concentration.
ICC/IF 1/20.
Other Use at an assay dependent concentration.

Target

  • RelevanceMHC Class I molecules play a central role in the immune system by presenting peptides derived from the endoplasmic reticulum lumen. MHC class I antigens are heterodimers consisting of one alpha chain (44kDa) with beta 2 microglobulin (11.5 kDa). The antigen is expressed by all somatic cells at varying levels. MHC Class I molecules are expressed on most nucleated cells where they present endogenously synthesized antigenic peptides to CD8+ T lymphocytes, which are usually cytotoxic T cells. Fibroblasts or neurons however only show a low level of antigen.

Thank you for your patience in this matter. The originator of ab22367 (MHC class I antibody [OX-18] (FITC)) has provided the following information: OX-18 is listed as being against a monomorphic determinant because it reacted with all rat str...

Thank you for your enquiry. The antibody has not been tested on rat testis cells therefore we cannot recommend a specific amount of cells to use for this tissue. We know that the antibody worked well on rat splenocytes when 10ul of the suggested wor...

Thank you for your enquiry. ab22367 recognizes rat MHC 1 molecules, which is generally known to be expressed on virtually all somatic, nucleated cells. We could not recognise "dlsatic fibers", so we are not really able to comment on whether we would...
