  • IHC-Fr image of Ferritin, mitochondrial staining on mouse skeletal muscle using ab66111 (1: 100). The sections were fixed in 4% PFA and the section was permeabilized using 0.1% TritonX in 0.1% PBS. The section was then blocked using 10% conkey serum for 1 hour at 24°C. The primary antibody (1:100) was incubated at 4°C for 24 hours and the secondary antibody used was donkey polyclonal to rabbit IgG conjugated to Alexa Fluor 488 (1:1000).

    The band observed at 21 kDa could potentially be a cleaved form of Human Ferritin, mitochondrial precursor due to a 49 amino acid transit peptide (SwissProt), which when cleaved gives an expected Mw of 22 kDa.
