Application notesWB: 1/1000 - 1/5000. Detects a band of approximately 56 kDa (pro-form, with a predicted molecular weight: 54 kDa) and a 46kDa band (inital active form), using reducing conditions. The final, hemopexin cleaved form is not detected. Dilution optimised using Chromogenic detection. Not yet tested in other applications. DomainThe conserved cysteine present in the cysteine-switch motif binds the catalytic zinc ion, thus inhibiting the enzyme. The dissociation of the cysteine from the zinc ion upon the activation-peptide release activates the enzyme.
