  • Target

    • FunctionActs as a transcriptional repressor. Interacts with MXI1 to repress MYC responsive genes and antagonize MYC oncogenic activities. Also interacts with MAD-MAX heterodimers by binding to MAD. The heterodimer then represses transcription by tethering SIN3A to DNA. Acts as a corepressor for REST.

    • Detection of Human mSin3A by Immunoprecipitation in Whole cell lysate from HeLa cells (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), using ab70727 at 3 µg/mg lysate. Subsequent Western blot detection of mSin3A was performed using ab70727 at 1 µg/ml. Detected by chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds.
