Full length protein (Human). A high molecular weight, more than 300 kDa, glycoprotein from human milk-fat globule molecule.
This antibody reacts with MUC1, a large transmembrane glycoprotein expressed on the ductal surface of normal glandular epithelia. The extracellular domain of MUC1 largely consists of a highly conserved, O-glycosylated 20 amino acid tandem repeat which can occur 30-100 times per molecule depending on the length of the allele involved. In the vast majority of human carcinomas this protein is upregulated and poorly glycosylated and appears on the cell surface in a non-polarized fashion. The dominant epitope of this antibody is the 8-mer SAPDTRPA of the MUC1 tandem repeat as established with epitope fingerprinting.
Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab10115 in the following tested applications.
|ELISA||Use at an assay dependent dilution. Can be paired for ELISA with Mouse monoclonal [M10G4] to MUC1 (HRP) (ab22753).|
|Sandwich ELISA||Use at an assay dependent dilution. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Mouse monoclonal [M10G4] to MUC1 (HRP) (ab22753) and Mouse monoclonal [M2C5] to MUC1 (HRP) (ab24471). Detection of underglycosylated MUC1. Can be used as Capture antibody with ab22753, ab10119 and ab24471. Can be used as both coating and conjugate in the detection of unglycosylated MUC1 when paired with ab10117.|
