Target

  • FunctionE3 ubiquitin ligase. Regulates proteasomal degradation of cardiac troponin I/TNNI3 and probably of other sarcomeric-associated proteins. May play a role in striated muscle atrophy and hypertrophy by regulating an anti-hypertrophic PKC-mediated signaling pathway. May regulate the organization of myofibrils through TTN in muscle cells.

Anti-MURF1 antibody images

  • ab4125 at 1.25 µg/ml staining human skeletal muscle by IHC-P.  Tissue sections were subjected to steamed antigen retrieval with citrate buffer (pH6), AP-staining.  Shows strong staining in rare nuclei, and weak staining of muscle fibres in longitudinal section.

  • ab4125 staining MURF1 in mouse lung tissue section by Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections). Tissue underwent fixation in paraformaldehyde and blocked in 1%BSA for 10 minutes at 20°C. The primary antibody was diluted 1/200 and incubated with sample for 20 hours at 20°C. A Biotin conjugated rabbit polyclonal to goat IgG, diluted 1/500 was used as secondary.
