% SDS-PAGE. ab63835 was highly purified from the supernatant of the culture of Clostridium botulinum type C by cation exchange, hydroxyapatite and gel filtration columns.
No toxic effect was observed in two mice injected with 5 ug of C3 enzyme, showing little contamination of lethal toxins in this preparation.
This protein is derived from a pathogenic organism, and may be involved in a disease process, consequently exposure may have adverse health effects.
ab63835 can be used for studies on the Rho-dependent signaling pathways in animal cells in vivo and in vitro and for the study of ADP-ribosylation of small GTP proteins, such as Rho and Rac proteins.
Its activity tested as tested and stimulation of human keratinocytes in culture was observed at 50 ng/ml.
