Overview

Properties

Applications

  • Application notesThis antibody gave a positive result in ELISA against the immunizing peptide. Antibody detection limit dilution 1:4,000.

Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
  • Target

    • FunctionNeuronal cell surface protein thought to be involved in cell-cell-interactions by forming intercellular junctions through binding to beta-neurexins. Seems to play role in formation or maintenance of synaptic junctions. In vitro, triggers the de novo formation of presynaptic structures. May be involved in specification of excitatory synapses.
    • Tissue specificityExpressed in the blood vessel walls (at protein level).
    • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the type-B carboxylesterase/lipase family.
    • Cellular localizationCell membrane. Cell junction > synapse. Cell junction > synapse > postsynaptic cell membrane > postsynaptic density. Enriched in synaptic plasma membranes and clustered in synaptic clefts and postsynaptic densities.
