  • Biological description

    Cell-permeable benzoxathiole compound that acts as an IKK-2 inhibitor, presumably by targeting the Ser177 and/or Ser181 residues in the kinase's activation loop domain. Shown to inhibit LPS-induced NF-κB activation (IC50 = 1.0 µM) and nitrite production (IC50 = 0.7 µM) in RAW 264.7 cells in vitro and effectively prevent LPS-induced septic death in mice in vivo.
