Biological descriptionSuramin analog and subtype-selective competitive antagonist at P2X1 receptors (IC50 values are 0.21, 28.9, >50 and >100 μM for human P2X1, P2X3, P2X2, and P2X4-mediated responses, respectively). Inhibits contraction induced by electrical field stimulation in smooth muscle.
Chemical name8,8'-[Carbonylbis(imino-3,1-phenylenecarbonylimino)]bis-1,3,5-naphthalenetrisulfonic acid hexasodium salt
Storage instructionsStore at -20°C. Store under desiccating conditions. The product can be stored for up to 12 months.
Solubility overviewSoluble in water to 100 mM
Wherever possible, you should prepare and use solutions on the same day. However, if you need to make up stock solutions in advance, we recommend that you store the solution as aliquots in tightly sealed vials at -20°C. Generally, these will be useable for up to one month. Before use, and prior to opening the vial we recommend that you allow your product to equilibrate to room temperature for at least 1 hour.
