The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Use a concentration of 20 µg/ml.
Use a concentration of 2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 6 kDa.
Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Use a concentration of 2.5 µg/ml.
Tissue specificityHigh expression in placenta, skeletal muscle, kidney and pancreas tissues. Absent or very faint expression in heart, brain, lung and liver. Expressed during adipogenic differentiation of mesenchymal stem cells (at protein level).
Immunofluorescence of OCC1 in Human spleen tissue with ab83948 at 20 ug/mL.
Western blot - OCC1 antibody (ab83948)
Anti-OCC1 antibody (ab83948) at 2 µg/ml + Human spleen tissue lysate at 15 µg
Predicted band size : 6 kDa Observed band size : 28 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?) Note: in vitro transcription and translation of the OCC1 cDNA yields polypeptides of less than 9 kDa. Despite this, OCC1 from cell lines is detected at ~28 kDa in SDS-PAGE.
