  • RelevanceThe OSR1 (odd skipped related 1) gene encodes a zinc-finger transcription factor that is expressed in the germ ring mesendoderm and subsequently in the endoderm and intermediate mesoderm, prior to the expression of definitive kidney or blood/vascular markers. Osr1 expression marks a multi-potent population of intermediate mesoderm that undergoes progressive restriction to an Osr1-dependent nephron progenitor compartment within the mammalian kidney. Osr1 expression is regulated by Runx2 and Ikzf1, which are known as master-gene of osteogenesis and hematopoiesis, respectively.

  • IHC-P image of OSR1 antibody (ab74003) on Prostate sections. The sections were fixed in Paraformaldehyde and underwent heat mediated antigen retrieval using Novacastra (pH6). The sections were then blocked in 0.3% H2O2 solution for 10 minutes at 22°C.
