WB 1/1 - 1/3. Can be blocked with Oxytocin Receptor peptide (ab173096). Preliminary experiments in lysates of cell lines A431 and HeLa gave no specific signal but low background (at antibody concentration up to 1µg/ml). We would appreciate any feedback from people in the field - have any results been reported with other antibodies/lysates?

Anti-Oxytocin Receptor antibody images

  • ab87312 staining oxytocin receptor in MCF7 cells treated with oxytocin (ab120186), by ICC/IF. Increase of cytoplasmatic oxytocin receptor localization and correspondent decrease in nuclear oxytocin receptor correlates with increased concentration of oxytocin, as described in literature.
    The cells were incubated at 37°C for 15 minutes in media containing different concentrations of ab120186 (oxytocin) in DMSO, fixed with 4% formaldehyde for 10 minutes at room temperature and blocked with PBS containing 10% goat serum, 0.3 M glycine, 1% BSA and 0.1% tween for 2h at room temperature. Staining of the treated cells with ab87312 (5 µg/ml) was performed overnight at 4°C in PBS containing 1% BSA and 0.1% tween. A DyLight 488 donkey anti-goat polyclonal antibody (ab96931) at 1/250 dilution was used as the secondary antibody. Nuclei were counterstained with DAPI and are shown in blue.
  • ab87312 at 5 µg/ml staining Oxytocin Receptor in Human prostate stromal cells by Immunocytochemistry/ Immunofluorescense. Antibody was incubated overnight at 4°C and detected with an AlexaFluor-conjugated secondary antibody.
  • Immunohistochemical analysis of paraffin embedded Human prostatic cancer tissue labeling Oxytocin Receptor with ab87312 at 2 ug/ml.

  • ab87312 staining Oxytocin Receptor in rat brain hypothalamus tissue by Immunohistochemistry (Frozen sections).
    Tissue was fixed in methanol, permeabilized using 0.4% Triton X-100, blocked with 10% serum for 1 hour at 25°C and then incubated with ab87312 at a 1/150 dilution for 16 hours at 4°C. The secondary used was an Alexa-Fluor 594 conjugated donkey anti-goat IgG polyclonal used at a 1/1000 dilution.

    Magnocellular hypothalamus was stained.
