  • FunctionInvolved in the costimulatory signal, essential for T-cell proliferation and production of IL10 and IFNG, in an IL2-dependent and a PDCD1-independent manner. Interaction with PDCD1 inhibits T-cell proliferation and cytokine production.
  • Tissue specificityHighly expressed in the heart, skeletal muscle, placenta and lung. Weakly expressed in the thymus, spleen, kidney and liver. Expressed on activated T- and B-cells, dendritic cells, keratinocytes and monocytes.
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily. BTN/MOG family.
    Contains 1 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain.
    Contains 1 Ig-like V-type (immunoglobulin-like) domain.

Anti-PD-L1 antibody [MIH6] - Low endotoxin, Azide free images

  • Immunohistochemical analysis of sections from ID8 induced tumours in mice, showing staining of control samples (top row) and samples from mice treated with Trabectedin (bottom row). Samples were fixed in paraformaldehyde and blocked in 5% BSA for 45 minutes at room temperature. They were incubated with ab80726 (diluted 1:100 in PBS) for 16 hours at 4°C to label PD-L1. The secondary antibody used was an Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated goat anti-rat IgG (H + L) polyclonal (ab150157) at 1/200. The first column shows DAPI staining, the second column shows PD-L1 staining, and the final column shows DAPI and PD-L1 merged.

We do not currently have any antibodies that are known to inhibit/neutralize either human PD-L1 or PD1 but ab80276, also known as clone MIH6, may be the best choice, though we do not have data for human reactivity, just mouse. The paper at J Exp Med. 2...
