Purines are necessary for many cellular processes, including DNA replication, transcription, and energy metabolism. Ten enzymatic steps are required to synthesize inosine monophosphate (IMP) in the de novo pathway of purine biosynthesis. PFAS catalyzes the fourth step of IMP biosynthesis.
Detection of PFAS in immunoprecipitates of Jurkat whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) using ab186048 at 6 µg/mg lysate for IP (Lane 1) and at 1 µg/ml for subsequent Western blot detection. Lane 2 represents rabbit IgG IP control. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 3 minutes.
