Use a concentration of 0.3 - 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 30 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 22 kDa). The observed molecular weight corresponds to earlier findings in literature with different antibodies (Lu et al, J Biol Chem. 2006 Mar 3;281(9):5895-907; PMID: 16354652).

FunctionPattern receptor that binds to murein peptidoglycans (PGN) of Gram-positive bacteria. Has bactericidal activity towards Gram-positive bacteria. May kill Gram-positive bacteria by interfering with peptidoglycan biosynthesis. Binds also to Gram-negative bacteria, and has bacteriostatic activity towards Gram-negative bacteria. Plays a role in innate immunity.
Tissue specificityHighly expressed in bone marrow. Weak expression found in kidney, liver, small intestine, spleen, thymus, peripheral leukocyte, lung, fetal spleen and neutrophils.
