Application notes

|
Recommended dilutions WB: 1/1,000 when using colorimetric substrates such as BCIP/NBT and 1/5,000 for chemiluminescent substrates. Higher concentration of antibody may be needed for non-human samples. Predicted molecular weight: 43 kDa. This antibody identifies bands at 55 kD and 53 kD when used against the reduced protein as well as activation/breakdown products. The antibody can recognize native or reduced PKARIb. Dilution optimised using Chromogenic detection.
Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Relevance
|
Protein Kinase A is a critical kinase involved in numerous biological functions. The regulatory subunits of PKA allow a range of modifying agents to influence PKA activity and localization, and are found in different levels in a tissue specific manner. The type 1(RI) and type 2 (RII) subunit of cyclic AMP dependent protein kinase A (PKA) is a polyfunctional protein that is present in most tissues and cells.
