Application Abreviews Notes
WB 1/1000. Detects a band of approximately 64 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 64 kDa).

Target

  • RelevancePPO, polyphenol oxidase, participates in the response of plants to wounding and herbivore attack, mediated by the octadecanoid wound signalling pathway. Chloroplast PPO is a 64 kDa nuclear encoded protein that is targeted to the thylakoid lumen. PPO is one of the most strongly phosphorylated proteins in thylakoid lumen although the role of this protein modification is not known.
  • Cellular localizationChloroplast thylakoid lumen.
  • Alternative names
    • Catechol oxidase antibody
    • polyphenol oxidase antibody
