General Info

  • RelevanceADBR2 + Gia3 is a fusion protein in which the Gia3 N-terminus is linked to the ADBR2 C-terminus via a His-tag. The ADBR2 is activated by the catecholaine epinephrine and couples to the G-protein G s to mediate adenylate cyclase activation. ADBR2 is found in numerous tissues and cell types including vascular and bronchial smooth muscle cells, leukocytes and liver. ADBR2 mediates smooth muscle relaxation, inhibition of leukocyte function and activation or glycogenolysis. In addition to Gs-proteins, ADBR2 can also couple to Gi-proteins. The ADBR2-Gia3 fusion protein ensures a defined 1:1 stoichiometry of the receptor and the Gia3 subunit.
