The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Activity: 1.3-7 pmol/mg
ab90624 ensures a defined 1:1 stoichiometry
of the receptor and the GsaS subunit as well
as high coupling efficiency. ab90624 does not exhibit the hallmarks of constitutive activity, e.g. high efficacies of partial agonists and inverse agonists and AC activation by the agonist-free beta2AR.

This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
Adrenergic beta 2 receptor surface
Beta 2 adrenergic receptor
Beta 2 adrenoceptor
Beta 2 adrenoreceptor
Beta adrenergic receptors mediate the catecholamine induced activation of adenylate cyclase through the action of G proteins. The beta 2 adrenergic receptor binds epinephrine with an approximately 30 fold greater affinity than it does norepinephrine.
The beta 2 adrenergic receptor is activated by the catecholamine epinephrine and couples to the G protein Gs to mediate adenylate cyclase (AC) activation. The beta 2 adrenergic receptors are found in numerous tissues and cell types including vascular and bronchial smooth muscle cells, leukocytes and liver. The beta 2 adrenergic receptors mediate smooth muscle relaxation, inhibition of leukocyte function and activation of glycogenolysis.
GsaS is the short splice variant of the alpha subunit of the heterotrimeric G protein Gs. Gs activates the effector AC.
