The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
The activity is assayed on anti-proliferation and anti-migration of endothelial cells in vitro and anti-angiogenesis in vivo. The specific activity of anti-migration of endothelial cells in vitro is 0.55×105 Units/mg.
% SDS-PAGE. Purity is greater than 95% as determined by HPLC and SDS-PAGE.

Preparation and Storage
Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. Store at -20°C. Store under desiccating conditions.
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
Reconstitute in sterile distilled water or aqueous buffer containing 0.1% BSA to a concentration of 0.1-1.0 mg/ml. Upon reconstitution, the preparation is stable for up to one week at 2-8°C. For maximal stability,
subdivide the reconstituted preparation into working aliquots and store at -20°C to -70°C. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
Angiostatin is an internal proteolytic fragment of plasminogen, containing at least three Kringle domains. The Kringle domains have specific anti-migratory and anti-proliferative activities.
Angiostatin, an endogenous angiogenesis inhibitor, inhibits endothelial cell proliferation in vitro and angiogenesis in vivo. It is a potent and specific natural inhibitor of angiogenisis and metastatic tumor
