The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Measured by its ability to agglutinate Human red blood cells. The ED50 for this effect is typically 3-12μg/ml.

Preparation and Storage
Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. Store at 4°C prior to reconstitution. Store at -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein on reconstitution (0.1% HSA or BSA).
pH: 7.4 Constituents: 95% PBS, 5% Trehalose
Lyophilized from 0.22µm filtered solution.
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized protein in 200 µL sterile deionized water to a final concentration of 1 mg/mL. Solubilize for 30 to 60 minutes at room temperature with occasional gentle mixing.
35 kDa lectin
Carbohydrate binding protein 35
Carbohydrate-binding protein 35
Galactose-specific lectin 3
Galectin 3 internal gene,included
IgE binding protein
L-34 galactoside-binding lectin
Lectin, galactose binding, soluble 3
MAC 2 antigen
Macrophage galactose-specific lectin
Galactose-specific lectin which binds IgE. May mediate with the alpha-3, beta-1 integrin the stimulation by CSPG4 of endothelial cells migration. Together with DMBT1, required for terminal differentiation of columnar epithelial cells during early embryogenesis.
A major expression is found in the colonic epithelium. It is also abundant in the activated macrophages.
Contains 1 galectin domain.
Nucleus. Cytoplasmic in adenomas and carcinomas. May be secreted by a non-classical secretory pathway and associate with the cell surface.
