ReconstitutionLyophilised product is very stable at -20°C. Centrifuge vial before opening. When reconstituting ab119165, gently pipette and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilised product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.

FunctionProduced by activated macrophages, IL-1 stimulates thymocyte proliferation by inducing IL-2 release, B-cell maturation and proliferation, and fibroblast growth factor activity. IL-1 proteins are involved in the inflammatory response, being identified as endogenous pyrogens, and are reported to stimulate the release of prostaglandin and collagenase from synovial cells.
