The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
The ED50 of ab83684 is typically 0.15- 0.25 ng/ml as measured in a cell proliferation assay using the IL2 dependent murine CTLL2 T cell line.

Preparation and Storage
Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. After reconstitution store at -20ºC. Avoid freeze / thaw cycles.
Constituents: 10% Trehalose, 1% Human serum albumin, PBS
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
ReconstitutionIt is recommended that 0.5 ml of sterile phosphate-buffered saline be added to the vial.
Following reconstitution short-term storage at 4°C is recommended, and longer-term storage of aliquots at -18 to -20°C. Repeated freeze thawing is not recommended.
Involved in regulation of T cell clonal expansion
T Cell Growth Factor
T-cell growth factor
FunctionProduced by T-cells in response to antigenic or mitogenic stimulation, this protein is required for T-cell proliferation and other activities crucial to regulation of the immune response. Can stimulate B-cells, monocytes, lymphokine-activated killer cells, natural killer cells, and glioma cells.
Involvement in diseaseNote=A chromosomal aberration involving IL2 is found in a form of T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). Translocation t(4;16)(q26;p13) with involves TNFRSF17.
Functional Studies - IL2 protein (Active) (ab83684)
Densitometry of protein isoforms visualised by 2-DE. The triangle indicates the theoretical MW and pI of the protein.
SDS-PAGE - IL2 protein (Active) (ab83684)
1D SDS-PAGE of ab83684 before and after treatment with glycosidases to remove oligosaccharides.
Lane 1 ab83684
Lane 2 ab83684 treated with PNGase F to remove potential N-linked glycans
Lane 3 ab83684 treated with a glycosidase cocktail to remove potential N- and O-linked glycans. 10 µg protein
loaded per lane; Deep Purple™ stained.
Drop in MW after treatment with glycosidase cocktail indicates presence of O-linked glycans. Faint bands in lane 3 and lane 4 are glycosidase enzymes.
