Preparation and Storage

  • Stability and Storage

Shipped at 4°C. Upon delivery aliquot. Store at -80°C. Avoid freeze / thaw cycle.

    Preservative: None
Constituents: 0.03M Sodium acetate, pH 4

  • ReconstitutionAdd 0.1M Acetate buffer pH4 to prepare a working stock solution of approximately 0.5 mg/mL and let the lyophilized pellet dissolve completely. For conversion into higher pH value, we recommend intensive dilution by relevant buffer to a concentration of 10µg/mL. In higher concentrations the solubility of this antigen is limited.

  • FunctionPhosphatase that has a high activity toward phosphoethanolamine (PEA) and phosphocholine (PCho). Involved in the generation of inorganic phosphate for bone mineralization.
  • Tissue specificityExpressed at sites of mineralization in bone and cartilage. Highly expressed in osteoblast cell line SaOS-2 which produces a mineralized matrix, but not in MG-63 cell line, which do not mineralize.
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the HAD-like hydrolase superfamily. PHOSPHO family.
