The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
% SDS-PAGE. >95% as determined by:
analysis by RP-HPLC
reducing and non-reducing SDS-PAGE.
Additional notesReconstituted material should be aliquoted and frozen at -20°C. It is recommended that a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA) is added to the sample for long term storage.
Endotoxin level, as measured by the LAL method, is <0.01 ng/µg or <0.1E U/µg.
ReconstitutionCentrifuge vial before opening. When reconstituting the product, gently pipet and wash down the sides of the vial to ensure full recovery of the protein into solution. It is recommended to reconstitute the lyophilized product with sterile water at a concentration of 0.1 mg/ml, which can be further diluted into other aqueous solutions.
FunctionCytokine with immunoregulatory activity. May promote the transition between innate and adaptive immunity. Induces the production of IgG(1) and IgG(3) in B-cells (By similarity). May play a role in proliferation and maturation of natural killer (NK) cells in synergy with IL15. May regulate proliferation of mature B- and T-cells in response to activating stimuli. In synergy with IL15 and IL18 stimulates interferon gamma production in T-cells and NK cells. During T-cell mediated immune response may inhibit dendritic cells (DC) activation and maturation.
Tissue specificityExpressed in activated CD4-positive T-cells but not in CD8-positive T-cells, B-cells, or monocytes.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the IL-15/IL-21 family.
