Potassium channel toxin alpha KTx 2.1
Noxiustoxin is a toxin originally isolated from Heteropoda venatoria and expressed by the venom gland. It is a voltage-gated non-inactivating potassium channel blocker. It unblocks inactivating potassium channels blocked by alpha-dendrotoxin in synaptosomes, as well as displacing the alpha-dendrotoxin homolog dendrotoxin I from its receptor on brain synaptic membranes.
