The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Biological activityThe biological activity is measured by its ability to proliferate activated B cells.
% SDS-PAGE. ab125780 was purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques and determined to be >95% pure by SDS-PAGE and RP-HPLC.

Preparation and Storage
Stability and Storage
Shipped at 4°C. The lyophilized protein is stable for a few weeks at room temperature. Store at -20°C. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein on reconstitution (0.1% HSA or BSA).
pH: 7.40 Constituent: 99% PBS
This product is an active protein and may elicit a biological response in vivo, handle with caution.
ReconstitutionIt is recommended to reconstitute ab125780 in sterile ultra pure water not less than 100 µg/ml, which can then be further diluted to other aqueous solutions.
FunctionCytokine with immunoregulatory activity. May promote the transition between innate and adaptive immunity. Induces the production of IgG(1) and IgG(3) in B-cells (By similarity). May play a role in proliferation and maturation of natural killer (NK) cells in synergy with IL15. May regulate proliferation of mature B- and T-cells in response to activating stimuli. In synergy with IL15 and IL18 stimulates interferon gamma production in T-cells and NK cells. During T-cell mediated immune response may inhibit dendritic cells (DC) activation and maturation.
Tissue specificityExpressed in activated CD4-positive T-cells but not in CD8-positive T-cells, B-cells, or monocytes.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the IL-15/IL-21 family.
