Use at an assay dependent concentration.
Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 9 kDa. Good results were obtained when blocked with 5% non-fat dry milk in 0.05% PBS-T.
RelevanceRibosomes, the organelles that catalyze protein synthesis, consist of a small 40S subunit and a large 60S subunit. Together these subunits are composed of 4 RNA species and approximately 80 structurally distinct proteins. This gene encodes a ribosomal protein that is a component of the 40S subunit. The protein belongs to the S21E family of ribosomal proteins. It is located in the cytoplasm. Alternative splice variants that encode different protein isoforms have been described, but their existence has not been verified. As is typical for genes encoding ribosomal proteins, there are multiple processed pseudogenes of this gene dispersed through the genome.

IHC-P image of RPS21 antibody (ab90874) on Colon sections. The sections were fixed in Paraformaldehyde and underwent heat mediated antigen retrieval using Novacastra (pH6). The sections were then blocked in 0.3% H2O2 solution for 10 minutes at 22°C, before addition of the primary antibody at 1/750 dilution for 2 hours.
