Fast track antibodies constitute a diverse group of products that have been released to accelerate your research, but are not yet fully characterized. They have all been affinity purified and show high titre values against the immunizing peptide (by ELISA).
Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 55 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 26 kDa).
Use a concentration of 1 µg/ml.
FunctionActivator of the beta-catenin signaling cascade, leading to TCF-dependent gene activation. Acts both in the canonical Wnt/beta-catenin-dependent pathway, possibly via a direct interaction with Wnt proteins, and in a Wnt-independent beta catenin pathway through a receptor signaling pathway that may not use frizzled/LRP receptors.
Involvement in diseaseDefects in RSPO4 are the cause of anonychia congenita (ANONC) [MIM:206800]. A rare condition characterized by the absence or severe hypoplasia of all fingernails and toenails without significant bone anomalies.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the R-spondin family. Contains 1 FU (furin-like) repeat. Contains 1 TSP type-1 domain.
DomainThe FU repeat is required for activation and stabilization of beta-catenin.
Post-translational modificationsTyr-112 may be phosphorylated; however as this position is probably extracellular, the vivo relevance is not proven.
This Fast-Track antibody is not yet fully characterised. These images represent
inconclusive preliminary data.

Secondary Goat Anti-Rabbit IgG H&L (HRP) preadsorbed (ab97080) at 1/5000 dilution Developed using the ECL technique
IHC image of ab98016 staining in human formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue section, performed on a Leica BondTM system using the standard protocol F. The section was pre-treated using heat mediated antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH6, epitope retrieval solution 1) for 20 mins. The section was then incubated with ab98016, 5µg/ml, for 15 mins at room temperature and detected using an HRP conjugated compact polymer system. DAB was used as the chromogen. The section was then counterstained with haematoxylin and mounted with DPX.
For other IHC staining systems (automated and non-automated) customers should optimize variable parameters such as antigen retrieval conditions, primary antibody concentration and antibody incubation times.
