    This peptide may be used for neutralization and control experiments with the polyclonal antibody that reacts with this product and the rat SCAMP 5, catalog ab3432. Using a solution with equal weights per unit volume of peptide and corresponding antibody will yield a solution with a large molar excess of peptide that is able to competitively bind the antibody.

  • FunctionRequired for the calcium-dependent exocytosis of signal sequence-containing cytokines such as CCL5. Probably acts in cooperation with the SNARE machinery. May play a role in accumulation of expanded polyglutamine (polyQ) protein huntingtin (HTT) in case of endoplasmic reticulum stress by inhibiting the endocytosis pathway.
