The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesPeptide ELISA: Antibody detection limit dilution 1/32000.
WB: Use at a concentration of 0.3 - 1 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 45 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 54 kDa).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionPutative adhesion molecule that mediates sialic-acid dependent binding to cells. Preferentially binds to alpha-2,3-linked sialic acid. Also binds to alpha-2,6-linked sialic acid. The sialic acid recognition site may be masked by cis interactions with sialic acids on the same cell surface.
Tissue specificityExpressed specifically on eosinophils.
DomainContains 1 copy of a cytoplasmic motif that is referred to as the immunoreceptor tyrosine-based inhibitor motif (ITIM). This motif is involved in modulation of cellular responses. The phosphorylated ITIM motif can bind the SH2 domain of several SH2-containing phosphatases.
