  • Description
    Goat polyclonal to SNTG1

This product is a fast track antibody. It has been affinity purified and shows high titre values against the immunizing peptide by ELISA. Read the terms of use »

  • Species reactivity

    Predicted to work with: Human
  • Immunogen

Synthetic peptide: ASSATTSKAKYTT, corresponding to C terminal amino acids 505-517 of Human SNTG1.

  • General notes

Adapter protein that binds to and probably organizes the subcellular localization of a variety of proteins. May link various receptors to the actin cytoskeleton and the dystrophin glycoprotein complex (By similarity). May participate in regulating the subcellular location of diacylglycerol kinase-zeta to ensure that diacylglycerol is rapidly inactivated following receptor activation.

Fast track antibodies constitute a diverse group of products that have been released to accelerate your research, but are not yet fully characterized. They have all been affinity purified and show high titre values against the immunizing peptide (by ELISA). Fast track terms of use

Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 1 mg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 58 kDa.Can be blocked with Human SNTG1 peptide (ab23178).

Preliminary experiments gave no signal but low background in Human Testis and Brain extracts.

Target

  • FunctionAdapter protein that binds to and probably organizes the subcellular localization of a variety of proteins. May link various receptors to the actin cytoskeleton and the dystrophin glycoprotein complex (By similarity). May participate in regulating the subcellular location of diacylglycerol kinase-zeta to ensure that diacylglycerol is rapidly inactivated following receptor activation.
  • Tissue specificityBrain specific. In CNS, it is expressed in the perikaryon and proximal portion of the neuronal processes. Strong expression in the hippocampus, neuron-rich dendate granule cells, and pyramidal cell layers. Highly expressed in neurons of the cerebral cortex. Also expressed in the cerebellar cortex, deep cerebellar nuclei, thalamus, and basal ganglia. No expression in muscle cells.
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the syntrophin family.
    Contains 1 PDZ (DHR) domain.
    Contains 1 PH domain.
  • DomainThe PDZ domain binds to the last three or four amino acids of DGKZ. The association with dystrophin or related proteins probably leaves the PDZ domain available to recruit proteins to the membrane.
  • Cellular localizationCytoplasm > cytoskeleton. Nucleus. Mainly cytoplasmic and weakly nuclear.
