Cellular localizationMitochondrion membrane. Cell projection > cilium > flagellum. Associated with mitochondria of the midpiece and near the plasma membrane in the principal piece of the flagellum. Also found in the epididymosome, secreted by the epididymal epithelium and that transfers proteins from the epididymal fluid to the sperm surface.
Immunoprecipitation from HeLa whole cell lysate (1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded), using ab123497 at 6 µg/mg lysate for IP. Subsequent Western blot detection used an antibody which recognized an downstream epitope of Sorbitol Dehydrogenase at 0.4 µg/ml. Detection: Chemiluminescence with an exposure time of 10 seconds
