IHC-P
  • Application notes
ELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. The detection limit for recombinant tagged SPRY2 is approximately 0.1ng/ml as a capture antibody.
    IHC-P: Use at a concentration of 3 µg/ml.
WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 5 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 33 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 35 kDa).

Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
  • Target

    • Function
May function as an antagonist of fibroblast growth factor (FGF) pathways and may negatively modulate respiratory organogenesis.
    • Sequence similarities
      Belongs to the sprouty family.
      Contains 1 SPR (sprouty) domain.
    • Domain
The Cys-rich domain is responsible for the localization of the protein to the membrane ruffles.
    • Cellular localization
Cytoplasm > cytoskeleton. Cell projection > ruffle membrane. Associated with microtubules in unstimulated cells but is translocated to the membrane ruffles in cells stimulated ith EGF.

    • Anti-Sprouty 2 antibody (ab60719) at 1 µg/ml + C32 cell lysate at 25 µg

Predicted band size : 35 kDa
Observed band size : 33 kDa (why is the actual band size different from the predicted?)
Additional bands at : 30 kDa,42 kDa,50 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
    • Sprouty 2 antibody (ab60719) used in immunohistochemistry at 3ug/ml on formalin fixed and paraffin embedded human lymphoma.
