Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab109836 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
WB Use a concentration of 0.1 - 0.2 µg/ml. Predicted molecular weight: 11 kDa. The detection limit for recombinant Human TARC is 1.5 - 3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.
Neutralising Use a concentration of 2 - 3 µg/ml. to yield one-half maximal inhibition [ND50] of the biological activity of Human TARC (100 ng/ml)
Indirect ELISA Use a concentration of 0.5 - 2 µg/ml. ab109836 in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human TARC (using 100 µl/well antibody solution).
Sandwich ELISA Use a concentration of 0.5 - 2 µg/ml. Can be paired for Sandwich ELISA with Rabbit polyclonal to TARC (Biotin) (ab84279). ab109836 in conjunction with ab84279 as a detection antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2 - 0.4 ng/well of recombinant Human TARC (using 100 µl/well antibody solution).

  • FunctionChemotactic factor for T-lymphocytes but not monocytes or granulocytes. May play a role in T-cell development in thymus and in trafficking and activation of mature T-cells. Binds to CCR4.
  • Tissue specificityExpressed at high levels in thymus and at low levels in the lung, colon and small intestine.
  • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the intercrine beta (chemokine CC) family.
  • Cellular localizationSecreted.

Thanks for your inquiry. Based upon sequence homology, I would not expect any of the antibodies to cross react with mouse as there is only a 64% homology. Please let me know if you require further assistance.
