FunctionPlays a critical role in endothelial cell capillary morphogenesis.
Tissue specificityDetected in endothelial cells from colorectal cancer, and in endothelial cells from primary cancers of the lung, liver, pancreas, breast and brain. Not detectable in endothelial cells from normal tissue. Expressed in fibrovascular membrane with increased expression in individuals with proliferative diabetic retinopathy.

ab13667 at a 1/1500 dilution staining human brain tumor (glioblatoma) samples by Immunohistochemistry (Formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections). Heat mediated antigen retrieval was used and the tissue was fixed with ethanol and blocked with 2.5% serum prior to incubation with the antibody for 16 hours. A pan-specifc universal secondary antibody was used.
