The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
Application notesELISA: Use at an assay dependent dilution. ELISA titre using peptide based assay: 1:312500
WB: Use at a concentration of 1.25 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 28 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 33 kDa).
Not yet tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
FunctionNecessary for efficient RNA polymerase II transcription elongation past template-encoded arresting sites. The arresting sites in DNA have the property of trapping a certain fraction of elongating RNA polymerases that pass through, resulting in locked ternary complexes. Cleavage of the nascent transcript by S-II allows the resumption of elongation from the new 3'-terminus.
Tissue specificityTestis and ovary specific.
Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the TFS-II family. Contains 1 TFIIS central domain. Contains 1 TFIIS N-terminal domain. Contains 1 TFIIS-type zinc finger.
