The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
IHC-P 1/25 - 1/50. Perform heat mediated antigen retrieval with citrate buffer pH 6 before commencing with IHC staining protocol.

1/25 - 1/50 for 30 minutes at room temperature. Staining of formalin fixed tissues requires boiling tissue sections in 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10-20 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 minutes.

ICC/IF Use at an assay dependent concentration.

Target

  • RelevanceThe Thomsen Friedenreich antigen acts as an oncofoetal antigen, with low expression in normal adult tissues but increasing to foetal levels of expression in hyperplasia or malignancy. It is considered as a pan carcinoma marker. Can be applied for the detection of cells with TF antigen and is especially applicable for sensitive determination of neuraminidases.
