Our Abpromise guarantee covers the use of ab13875 in the following tested applications.

The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.

Application Abreviews Notes
Flow Cyt
  • Application notesFACS (intracellular): Use 2-5 µg for 106 cells.
WB: Use at a concentration of 1 - 3 µg/ml. Detects a band of approximately 97 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 103 kDa).

    Not tested in other applications.
Optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
  • Target

    • FunctionParticipates in the innate immune response to microbial agents. Mediates detection of bacterial flagellins. Acts via MYD88 and TRAF6, leading to NF-kappa-B activation, cytokine secretion and the inflammatory response.
    • Tissue specificityHighly expressed in ovary and in peripheral blood leukocytes, especially in monocytes, less in CD11c+ immature dendritic cells. Also detected in prostate and testis.
    • Involvement in diseaseSystemic lupus erythematosus 1
    • Sequence similaritiesBelongs to the Toll-like receptor family.
      Contains 22 LRR (leucine-rich) repeats.
      Contains 1 LRRCT domain.
      Contains 1 TIR domain.
    • Post-translational
Phosphorylated at Ser-805 by PKD/PRKD1; phosphorylation induces the production of inflammatory cytokines.
Phosphorylated at Tyr-798 upon flagellin binding; required for signaling.
    • Cellular localizationMembrane.

Thank you very much for your reply.

I've heard back from the lab about ab62460, and this antibody also will not work with your variant, so I am glad to hear that you've found an anti-goat secondary antibody to use with ab1654. I'm sending a f...

Thank you very much for your call yesterday and for letting us know about the trouble with ab13868.

I've heard back from the lab about ab13875, and this antibody won't be a good choice for your truncated TLR5 variant. Theonly antibody that is...

I would like to confirm that both ab13875 and ab13876 recognise an intracellular portion of TLR5 and therefore need permeabilization. I'm afraid we do not have other antibodies tested in FACS against TLR5. However, ab1654 is raised against aa151-1...
