Purity Protein G purified
Purification notes This antibody is purified through a protein G column, eluted out with both high and low pH buffers, neutralized immediately after elution, then followed by dialysis against PBS.
Primary antibody notes Recognises N-terminus of TYRO3.
Immunizing Peptide (Blocking)
Abpromise guarantee covers the use of
in the following tested applications.
The application notes include recommended starting dilutions; optimal dilutions/concentrations should be determined by the end user.
1/100 - 1/500. Detects a band of approximately 97 kDa (predicted molecular weight: 97 kDa).Can be blocked with
TYRO3 peptide (ab85099).
1/50 - 1/100.
Function May be involved in cell adhesion processes, particularly in the central nervous system. In case of filovirus infection, seems to function as a cell entry factor.
Tissue specificity Abundant in the brain and lower levels in other tissues.
Sequence similarities Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. Tyr protein kinase family. AXL/UFO subfamily. Contains 2 fibronectin type-III domains. Contains 2 Ig-like C2-type (immunoglobulin-like) domains. Contains 1 protein kinase domain.
Cellular localization Cell membrane.

Western blot - TYRO3 antibody (ab37841)
Anti-TYRO3 antibody (ab37841) + mouse brain lysate Secondary HRP-anti-rabbit developed using the ECL technique Predicted band size : 97 kDa Observed band size : 97 kDa Additional bands at : 85 kDa. We are unsure as to the identity of these extra bands.
Immunohistochemistry (Formalin/PFA-fixed paraffin-embedded sections) - TYRO3 antibody (ab37841)
ab37841 staining human cancer tissue by immunohistochemistry, formalin-fixed, paraffin embedded tissue. Breast carcinoma tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by AEC staining.
