The SMN complex plays an essential role in spliceosomal snRNP assembly in the cytoplasm and is required for pre-mRNA splicing in the nucleus. STRAP may play a role in the cellular distribution of the SMN complex. Negatively regulates TGF-beta signaling but positively regulates the PDPK1 kinase activity by enhancing its autophosphorylation and by significantly reducing the association of PDPK1 with 14-3-3 protein.

ab102001 staining Unrip in human primary fibroblasts by ICC/IF (Immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence). Cells were fixed with paraformaldehyde, permeabilized with 0.2% Triton X-100 and blocked with 2% BSA for 1 hour at room temperature. Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1/500 in PBS + 2% BSA) for 2 hours. An Alexa Fluor® 488-conjugated goat anti-rabbit IgG polyclonal (1/500) was used as the secondary antibody.
