  • FunctionImportant in cell-cell recognition. Appears to function in leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion. Interacts with the beta-1 integrin VLA4 on leukocytes, and mediates both adhesion and signal transduction. The VCAM1/VLA4 interaction may play a pathophysiologic role both in immune responses and in leukocyte emigration to sites of inflammation.

Anti-VCAM1 antibody [1G11B1] (Biotin) images

  • ab7224 staining VCAM1 in Human pluripotent stem cell derived cardiomyocytes by Flow Cytometry. Cells were cultured in a monolayer with PBS + 2% FBS. The sample was incubated with the primary antibody (1/100 in PBS and 2% FBS) for 30 minutes at 4°C. A Biotin-conjugated mouse IgG (1/1000) was used as the secondary antibody.

    Gating Strategy: Negative control population of pluripotent stem cells.
